The Fakeouts were formed in mid 2008 and are a 7 piece rock n' roll combo made up of members not only from Australia but Brazil, Russia, Singapore and England. The 7 band members are talented young men in their own right playing music from the 50's, 60's and Originals at the highest level.
The Band like to play authentic 50's and 60's music that brings back the memories and enthusiasm of the era to get the crowd involved and dancing and sharing in the fun. We love to bring back the atmosphere and ambience of a music era that was unlike any other.
The Fakeouts pride themselves on good old rock n' roll music that can be enjoyed by all ages. As a live band they are exciting and truely heart warming, re-living the days when music changed the lives of many forever.
The Fakeouts cover songs are all in original keys with a sense of modernisation. The band will also be looking to release new music that has a 50's and 60's feel but can relate to people for today.
Some Fan mail received recently from the 2009 South Perth Fiesta.
"Just a short note to say how much everyone enjoyed the performance of *The Fakeouts* at the Cygnet Theatre in Como on Thursday 19th March 2009 - by invitation of the South Perth Civic Council for their morning show representing Fiesta Week.
The entertainment performed by your young group of men had the audience tapping their feet, clapping their hands and dancing on the floor in front of the stage, and lastly, dancing their little hearts off in both isles.
Well done young men - I was informed that you have all just recently joined together, and this was one of your major gigs so far. I wish you all the best, and if you continue to display your talents, humour and songs as you did you will certainly have a good future. It was a fantastic show.
Good luck for your future.
Best Regards from a very impressed attendee"
